The Lotus C-01 is a limited production motorcycle under the licensed name Lotus.
It has been developed by Kodewa in collaboration with Kalex, whose chassis dominated the Moto2 World Championship for years. Daniel was contracted as the lead stylist on the project and developed the shapes and look of the bike closely with engineers from Kodewa and Kalex. Daniel left the project after the release of the concept renders in the global media, and did therefore not overlook the finish of the production examples.
Kodewa has been granted a license to produce the motorcycle by Group Lotus plc, the world renowned sportscar manufacturer and engineering consultancy, hence it is not directly related to the car maker. The C-01 is powered by a 200 hp version of the 75 degree v-twin Rotax motor from the KTM RC8R super bike.
It was planned to produce 100 C-01.
